Dr. Friesen tells about how by being focused on the underlying purpose of a task, it can change the perspective of all to improve the learning environment. In a later section of the interview (not included in this clip) she suggest teachers look at the type of imaginative engagement, social learning, object play, measurement, quantitative literacy, numeric activities, social negotiation and problem solving that can take place in a task. 3:39

Intelligence tests as they are presently designed, are built and very narrow ways of understanding and are a product of the factory mindset of education suggests Dr. Friesen.
